So, Air Jordan 16 hit the shelves next to the Air Jordan 15. This shoe was the first Air Jordans to not be designed by Tinker Hatfield since the Air Jordan 3 (III). But some elements from previous Air Jordan Shoes are still be used in the design like the clear rubber sole from Air Jordan 5, Air Jordan 6 and Air Jordan 11 plus the patent leather from Air Jordan XI. What made the Air Jordan 16 unique and stylish was a brand new gaiter that covered the shoe could be removed to give a brand new look.
